End of an Era

Anyone that knows my son knows he has a tail that he's been growing since he was 5. So over 6 years in the making. Well, today he asked me if I could help him cut it off. It's been trimmed a couple times over the year but this was the first time for cutting it off completely.

So I was going to post about yarn and knitting but we'll keep this one in memory of the tail....

Oh how quickly they grow up. How they have their own views of the world around them... noticing when they actually have a view and can communicated...Wow A new beginning for your Little Man :)

Take care

Sigh. I think Beccano has decided to grow the rest of his hair out. They all need some kind of rite of passage, I guess.

Yeah, Beccano has been growing his for 7 years and shows no sign of stopping, even though it curls. I am glad you were able to save it!

well be careful where you save it!

when i was in school i had really long hair and decided that MY rite of passage was to shave everything below the ears off....my best friend put it in a ponytail and then took out his trusty shavers....i was so proud of this huge rope of hair that i kept it as a souvenir of how cool i was...

i wasn't so cool when i screamed like ned flanders a few years later when sticking my had in a box and coming in contact with what i thought was a mouse the size of a small raccoon...lol.

btw...the kiddo has a killer smile!
