Another great episode. :) I'm glad my suggestion about spinning commercial yarn helped. Your spinning is looking terrific. You've improved so much!

As far as the kinky yarn, check to see if you have a tiny piece of fiber caught on one of the hooks. It doesn't take much to snag the hook and stop the yarn from feeding on. You might not even be able to see the fiber that's caught.

Also, you don't need very much tension on your spring. Mine is barely open at all. I have a Minstrel & a Sonata (both by Kromski). The more tension the harder you will have to treadle.

Delightful show. Thanks for sharing your newness at spinning. It was interesting to hear the issues of a new spinner, rather than always only hearing the victories of a seasoned spinner. We all start somewhere. I appreciate your honest review of the magazine. It helps me decide whether to purchase or not. Hope the finger continues to heal.
