Your Exonumist shawl is beautiful. I like Wendyknits patterns too, the finished object looks complicated and beautiful. Her patterns are always clear and simple though. I can't wait to get her lace book in August!

wow. that is a big box of yarn. how lovely that you have a friend that is so generous. i cant wait to see what you do with that giant skein of laceweight. I do hope that your competition is open to overseas watchers. I am in Australia so its a bit more to post something here.
